1)    Otjize

Otjize is a mixture of clay and flowers used by Himba to protect themselves from the harsh desert climate. Also, due to the lack of water in the desert, Himba used otjize instead of water when washing. Moreover, it has a unique feature that helped to heal the flesh of the Meduse.

2)    Shuttle “Third Fish,”

The shuttle was one of the new sleek models that looked like the bullets. Its open door was large and round leading into a long corridor illuminated by soft blue lights. Third Fish was a Miri 12, a type of ship closely related to a shrimp. Miri 12 is a stable, calm creature with natural exoskeletons that could withstand the harshness of space. Moreover, this unique type of transport can even breed.

3)    Astrolabe

An astrolabe of each person gives access to his entire life— him, his family, and all forecasts of his own future. This is a kind of passport from the real world, but it is much more sophisticated and clever. The main thing is not to give it to your detractors.

4)    Edan

Edan was a general name for a device too old for anyone to know its functions. This device has saved Binti’s life, because when Meduse had reached a tentacle toward her edan, it suddenly collapsed. The tentacle turned ash gray as it quickly dried up like a dead leaf.

5)    Okuoko

This is a special name for the distinctive feature of all Meduse - tentacles that grow on their heads. After one of the Meduse punctured Binti’s back, tentacles also began to grow on her head.

6)    Moojh-ha ki-bira

Moojh-ha ki-bira means the “great wave.” Actually, the Meduse move like water when at war. They worship water as a god, however there is no water on their planet.
